In Washington, the Confederated Tribes Of The Chehalis Reservation has announced that John Setterstrom has resigned as Chief Executive Officer for its Lucky Eagle Casino And Hotel to be replaced on an interim basis by Lisa Miles.

The federally-recognized tribe, which is based around the Chehalis Reservation in the south-west of the state, also runs the Great Wolf Lodge Resort and the Eagles Landing Hotel and did not give a reason for Setterstrom’s departure but explained that it was now actively seeking a permanent replacement.

The Confederated Tribes Of The Chehalis Reservation declared that Setterstrom had overseen several expansion projects at its venue located some 26 miles south of the city of Olympia including the construction of a pair of gaming floors along with a 171-room hotel and numerous restaurants.

“John has made significant and lasting contributions to our success,” read a statement from David Burnett, Business Committee Secretary for the Confederated Tribes Of The Chehalis Reservation. “He has been with Lucky Eagle Casino And Hotel since our opening in 1995 and was dedicated to serving the [Confederated Tribes Of The Chehalis Reservation] and developing the Lucky Eagle Casino And Hotel from our infancy. We are grateful to him.”

The Confederated Tribes Of The Chehalis Reservation proclaimed that Miles has 28 years of finance experience in the aboriginal gaming industry after beginning her career at the Chicago office of professional services organization Ernst And Young. It stated that she has moreover served in top financial roles for its Lucky Eagle Casino And Hotel subsequent to working at the nearby Tulalip Resort Casino, which is operated by the Tulalip Tribes Of Washington, and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation’s Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in northern California.

“We are pleased that Lisa Miles will lead our executive team moving forward,” read a statement from Don Secena, Tribal Council Chairman for the Confederated Tribes Of The Chehalis Reservation, “Her in-depth knowledge of the Lucky Eagle [Casino And Hotel] operation and our 800 team members gives us a great confidence that she will make the most of the opportunity.”
